Richard was nominated twice at the HMMA Awards in Hollywood.  He was also a finalist for the Unsigned Only Music Competition and the International Songwriting Competition(ISC), earning an honorable mention in both competitions.  He was a finalist among 6,000 entries from over 100 countries for the Unsigned Only competition, and as a finalist in the ISC competition he was among the top 2% of all 19,000 entrants world wide.
